Presentation

A computer cluster is a set of loosely or tightly connected computers that work together so that, in many respects, they can be viewed as a single system. Unlike grid computers, computer clusters have each node set to perform the same task, controlled and scheduled by software.


Access

An account allows you to have an access to the cluster farm via the front server. You need to log in and use dedicated commands to run your jobs to the cluster.


Sending jobs

You can send jobs to the cluster using the SGE job scheduler.

Nodes

Users can access to tens of nodes, representing hundreds of cores.

 


Queues

The nodes are organized as queues. Each queue has particularities in terms of RAM memory, job duration listed in the table below.
